Absolute Truth

Absolute Truth

Romans 1:19-22    because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools,

My heart hurts for the nation I live in. We are consistently turning our backs on God. We are headed down the road of moral decline wrapped up in the ideals of we know what is best for ourselves and others. We are legalizing everything that appeals to one, under the guise that it will offend another. We are living in a day of rapidly descending morals & integrity at an alarming rate. All has been lost in what our nation was founded on; “One nation under God”. The moral decay has infected our rulers, our leaders, our schools, our churches, and therefore has infected our families with incredible divorce rates and damaged our children at early ages. My nation is headed down the road to total destruction as a result of turning our backs on God and the absolute moral truths we have been given.

I researched Absolute Truth. We see the evidences of God all around us in creation every day. Satan has planted the idea of evolution into society, trying to weaken the proof of God before us. Inside us as the pinnacle of Gods creation lies a conscious; an inner proof of Him that we must willingly decide to rebel against these evidences. Romans 2:14 for when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do the things in the law, these, although not having the law, are a law to themselves, 15 who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and between themselves their thoughts accusing or else excusing them. Do you realize that tug of sin that you deny you feel so you can experience the pleasure of that sin is denying God? I lived my life in that denial for most of my life; I know you have to feel it.

Our leaders are being forced by deny Christ by these self appointed unions. Being told they may pray to a God, but not to their God Jesus Christ. They are being told that it offends, therefore if it does it must stopped. There is no such thing as truth that they must answer for and to. I pray these leaders stand their ground for Christ, that they do not deny Christ, that they sacrifice for Christ. Would you? Would you stand your ground at all cost if you were to claim Jesus’ name, or to deny Him and get a free pass? That day is happening in the world right now in religious persecution that involves imprisonment and even death. When some come to know Jesus they are ostracized from their family and live their lives in fear. Would you? You are only here for a short time; the immeasurable time is spent where the evidence of your lives were spent here; hell, or paradise. Would you take a stand for Jesus?

Duplexes

Duplexes

Exodus 20: 3 You shall have no other gods before Me.

Oh, but I don’t Lord. I will get back into church and my pursuit of You after I ______________. After I get the project done, the game played, the work completed, the rest I need, the..the..the… It was a while into my walk as a Christian that I began to see and somewhat understand this scripture. I felt good about myself and trying to better my life by going to church and seeking God. But God also began to reveal what I was placing BEFORE Him, and that I was giving Him my left overs. Much more than just Sunday, or even if you think about it only a couple hours on Sunday, is putting 164 hours a week ahead of God.

Pastor Jack yesterday so passionately conveyed that everything we have comes from God in a heartfelt plea. Romans 1:20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. There has to be a point in your walk as a Christian that you come to this realization. Without this realization you will never move forward in your growth and worship. You must realize there is no “me” in all your achievements, but Him in the provision of them. The longer the me stays in your mindset, the pride of those thoughts chain you down from growing in your relationship and faith that eternally saves. Pride kills any chance of becoming a true disciple of Christ. I believe Jacks quote was, “His place in your heart can never be a duplex.”

Matthew 6:24 “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.” Unfortunately in our society this is many times our idol; the pursuit of success and stuff. As a guy I know that hobbies can turn into idols for that is a huge part of my testimony. Anything that we put before God can become an idol, or in reality already is if we realize it comes before God and our pursuit of Him. If you can’t see it before your eyes, spend some time praying for God to open them. But realize He will show you, and call you to obedience of the removal of the idol in your life. Once it is revealed, leaving that idol in your life at that level is direct disobedience to the scripture above. Break the chain that is holding you back from gaining all you desire with God through the removal of what you place before Him.

The Good News

The Good News

I have a thought in my head haunting me that I heard on a Christian radio sermon recently. “If you are not preaching a Gospel that will preach in a third world country, you are not preaching the Gospel.” There is a lot packed into that one sentence, and I don’t know that I could begin to unpack it in a “OneMinuteMinistry”. But I get what they were trying to say. The Gospel includes and begins at Creation.

Creation –Romans 1:20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse. Paul is pointing out the proof of Creation that is evident to everyone, and refuting the ideas of today’s “Big Bang Theories” or Evolution.

The Fall of Man – Genesis 3:6 So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. Paradise was lost here in the garden of Eden when Satan deceived Adam and Eve; and as decedents of them we were all born into sin. As a punishment for that sin and the disconnect with a perfect Holy God, there had to be a way to reconnect.

The Savior – John 3:15-18 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. This is the Gospel, which The Gospel means The Good News.

The Good News is that God has provided a way into His Holy presence in eternal paradise with Him through the sacrifice of His Son. He came and paid the price for your sins by dying on a Cross and bearing the weight of your sin for eternity. He “Justified” your sin in an eternal holy court, finding you not guilty by accepting that price he paid as the only way into heaven. John 14:6 I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No man comes to the Father but by through Me. This is a free gift from God. The only requirement is the humbling of yourself by repenting of your sins and asking for forgiveness of them through the blood on that Cross. That is the best “Good News” I can give you today in a world that is far from God.
