Need Prayer?

Need Prayer?

Colossians 4:2-4 Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving; 3 meanwhile praying also for us, that God would open to us a door for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in chains, 4 that I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak.

Some things change, some things remain the same. The older we get, the more we realize the depth of that statement. We begin to see more of the seasons of life, how things we got used to seemed to pass us by, seem to be gone with the “progress” of life, the growth around us, the passing and aging of time. We see those in our circles aging, we loose family members to health, we find ourselves trapped in bodies that cannot do what seemingly accomplished only a short time ago did. We see the busyness of time rob of us the precious commodity we begin to cherish more with each passing day. The older we get, we begin to grasp the urgency, frailty, and finality of our time in this life. Aging brings about wisdom, and we begin to value and invest more deeply in what truly matters in life, our investment in others.

What was the apostle Paul’s plea in the passage above as he was in prison in Rome? What was his plea, his request that he asked for help for? We all might think as anyone would, to get me out of prison! “Do whatever you can to get me out of here”! No, Paul asked for help to share his faith. Paul asked for prayer, he humbled himself and said, “I need help.” As Christians we should never be so proud, even so proud of our faith, that we do not humble ourselves and ask for help in any way, especially in prayer. James 4:10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up. Paul was pleading to be in the center of God’s will in this imprisonment; Paul wanted only the doors to be opened by God to share the gospel with those Roman guards. Paul understood how important it was to share his faith with a people group that had not heard it so clearly. Paul knew that God could do a mighty work through the confinements that Paul found himself. What choice would the guards have? They were likely chained to Paul, and with the answered prayers of God preparing their hearts, Paul must just boldly speak and watch God stir the hearts of those before him. Oh to us have the focus of Paul. What are you chained to that you have not proclaimed your faith to? Who do you see every day at school or work that does not know you are a Christian? Who have you not prayed for, and asked those to pray for you, that needs to hear about Jesus?

This walk through life comes in seasons. God lets you pass from one to another, and will ask you to give an account of each. My ministries have changed, just like the seasons of my life. This ministry has been replaced by another online ministry. We as a family have found a new church home, and see doors opening there. We as a family are embarking on a new adventure with a track-side prayer ministry, and look forward to seeing God work there. All of this has been, and still is, covered in prayer. We never want to move without God, but always want the opportunity such as Paul to be used by God. Why don’t you ask someone to pray for you?

TV Church?

TV Church?

Hebrews 10:24-25 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

God lays on my ever increasing introverted persona, the urgency of the church, the urgency of the failing American idea of worship. We have found ourselves sitting by our TV’s on Sundays watching false prophets proclaim prosperity and self-worth, while we check off the Sunday religions obligation. We also may have sought to be entertained, to have rock-star worship music and lead singer pastors. We have sought to be removed from all the worlds problems, by having our ears tickled with just enough truth to sound genuine, but all the while preaching the prosperity of the Christian faith, while removing the sufferings for Christ he proclaimed we shall endure. God lays on my heart truths that are not popular, but to be proclaimed, and popularity or even “likes” in social media is never my goal. The American church needs a biblical revival, revival begins with a work of God within the church, and always begins with prayer.

What was the writer of Hebrews proclaiming? He was proclaiming that we are to gather together, to encourage each other, to hear the word of God properly preached, and possibly the same writer of first Corinthians talked about how we are to use the gifts of God to help each other, to build up the body of Christ together. 1 Corinthians 12:4-7 There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. 5 There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. 6 There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work. 7 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. (NIV) Do you proclaim Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? If you do, the gift of the Holy Spirit, his own Spirit, is living within you, and he has brought the power of God to you, and given you gifts from heaven above. You may even know, likely cannot properly explain, but something changed in your walk of faith. You may recognize your primary gift, and if so, pursue God’s intent and wisdom to and through it. Search him through prayer and his Word for the revelation and growth of what he has given you to use to draw glory to him. Every spiritual gift is to draw glory to God.

Does this Christmas season tug within yourself to draw closer to God? Do you realize even the lost understand the historical significance of this season? Do you realize you have the open invitation to invite someone to church for the next few weeks, all the while seemingly no pressure at all? Do you realize they might just come? You need to be open, to be willing to hear what their questions are, their hurts, and their struggles. You need to be willing to say, “I don’t know, but we will find out together.” You don’t have to have all the answers to invite someone to church, but they might not be comfortable in front of your TV on Sunday morning.

Why Believe?

Why Believe?

Philippians 2:9-11 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Heaven or Hell…pick a side. Why do I believe in my Lord Jesus Christ? Why do I put my faith in someone who “supposedly” came and died 2000 years ago? Why do I “gamble” on my faith, sacrifice this life for the next life, and live boldly proclaiming my faith to anyone who will hear? There are many answers, but only one central truth; I believe the Bible is the one central truth in my life, the perfected words of God himself, and the rock upon which I base everything. 2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. If you do not believe what the Bible proclaims, your faith is weak, and will be tossed to and fro with any winds of change that come and tickle the ears. The reason I chose the scripture from Philippians is that we ALL, of every faith, and of no faith, will bow before the same God on Judgement Day and give an account of our lives, and that account will determine where we spend eternity, Heaven or Hell.

The central truth of the Bible is how we are God’s creation, created for his own glory and pleasure, and his first pair turned their backs upon him, followed Satan’s lure, and we became condemned eternally from the mistake of our “grandfathers.” God is a holy God, one must be holy to be in his presence. Only through a perfect sacrifice could the sin be atoned for; God himself in his son Jesus came to earth, lived a sinless life, died a martyr’s death, and rose from the dead three days later to conquer death. This provided the necessary payment for anyone who believes in him to gain access to eternal paradise in Heaven. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. This is the gospel, the good news of Jesus Christ, what God did for everyone, even those that hated him, he came to earth and died for their sins too.

My life changed when I began to read my Bible every day. If you say that you believe, and don’t read your Bible, your faith is weak and you are deceived. Jesus said deny yourself, lay down your cross and follow Me, which means to put him first in everything. God proclaimed throughout the Old Testament to seek him first, even those lost have heard of the Ten Commandments many times; what is the first one? Jesus reminded us in Matthew 22:37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.‘ How do we express that love? By seeking him with all our heart, mind, body, and soul. To pray consistently, to humble ourselves and seek his will for our lives, not our own, to share of our faith to all that He puts in our circle of influence, to encourage, and yes even rebuke those in the same circle through love. How do we say that we believe? By defending and proclaiming the Word of truth, the Bible that points all of life to the only One who grants it. This life is a preparation for the next…..Heaven or Hell….pick a side.

Good Gifts

Good Gifts

John 1:12-13 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Tis the season of gifts
We may give and receive
But all fail to compare
To those who believe.

Those chosen by God
Eternal paradise he will give
Basking in the glory of Heaven
In the next life they will live.

This passage speaks of God’s gift
Not of anything we may earn
The false prophecies of works
From which sin-filled hearts yearn.

We cannot pay the price
Heaven has a steep cost
Jesus died and rose again
The perfect for the lost.

We see those around us
Who have not yet received grace
We pray they haven’t denied it
So not to go to the other place.

It pains us to see the lost
Consumed by this life today
Wrapped up in themselves
Wasting eternity away.

Be the gospel to them
Be the light of Jesus today
Grace may about through you
He may use you to show the way.

Gifts from God are eternal
Not measured by worldly means
Moths and rust will destroy
Every worldly blessing it seems.
Nothing in this life compares
To the next life it will be
I hope God grants you grace
That Jesus opens your eyes to see.

All hope and paradise eternal
Today’s highs and lows are nill
When in Heaven you look down
And at his feet you remain still.

This life is but a speck
In the hourglass of time,
Grace abounds to those who believe
Even through this simple rhyme.

Hosea said to repent

A Call to Repent

Hosea 6:3 Let us know, let us pursue the knowledge of the Lord, his going forth is established as the morning; He will come to us like the rain, like the latter and former rain to the earth.

I have had the tug for three days to arise early with time to write a 1MM, but for two straight days for different reasons, I did not have the time. This morning God awoke me clearly at 3am with a tug upon my heart; I joyfully awoke and spent time in prayer and his Word in the book of Hosea. Hosea was a prophet called by God to proclaim repentance to God’s people who were steep in rebellion, idolatry, and headlong into sin. Israel was again turning her back upon God again. Hosea’s book is one of the most vivid pictures of God’s judgement and mercy upon those he loves. Hosea’s life is the picture of the adultery we commit against God, and how he chastens, loves, and forgives those who truly love him. Hosea is a book that should not only make us reflect on our relationship to our Lord, but also to reflect on the mercy we have, or have not bestowed, upon those who have wronged us in this life. How can we ask to receive what we are not willing to give?

Our nation continually reminds me of the great nations that have fallen throughout the Bible. We continually read in history, even history “outside” of religion, where great nations have fallen, and all have fallen filtered through God’s sovereign design of humanity. The proof of His judgement on sin in this lifetime are clearly portrayed throughout the Old Testament. The Bible is a historical account of the sovereignty of a Just God; he will not let sin go but so long, and then we begin to pay for our mistakes. The evidence of God’s blessing, the imagery of how we ignore it, are throughout this book of Hosea 2:8 For she did not know That I gave her grain, new wine, and oil, And multiplied her silver and gold– Which they prepared for Baal….. 13 I will punish her For the days of the Baals to which she burned incense. She decked herself with her earrings and jewelry, And went after her lovers; But Me she forgot,” says the Lord. God even through Hosea proclaims the judgement upon the priests of that day, of how they were not proclaiming the truth. This is happening in our pulpits today; many pastors have just become entertainers, showmen, rock stars, rich beyond their wildest dreams, proclaiming false gospels that tell people what they want to hear, of riches and prosperity and the blessings of God……..yet never preach on sin, never talk of Hell, and they themselves will spend eternity there unless they repent. If your pastor never preaches on the conviction of sin, and you have never heard a sermon on the punishment of Hell, you need to find another pastor, for you are sitting under the teaching of a false prophet. If they are afraid to address sin and it’s final destination, they are scared they will offend, and you will leave the church, and your money with it……do you see that?

Without going into much detail, the blessings of God are woven throughout Hosea’s proclamation to repent. God shows his love through his discipline, and he is eager to return to the relationship he has designed for us. He uses these tough times of disciple to draw us near to himself; think of how the Bible clearly calls us as parents to not withhold the rod from our children; we discipline whom we love. 5:15 I will return again to My place Till they acknowledge their offense. Then they will seek My face; In their affliction they will earnestly seek Me.” 6:1 Come, and let us return to the Lord; For He has torn, but He will heal us; He has stricken, but He will bind us up. 2 After two days He will revive us; On the third day He will raise us up, That we may live in His sight. Just as we see here, God is eager to restore every humble repentant heart to a place of intimacy with him. God wants the best for each of us, but he is a jealous God who demands our whole devotion to him. He knows our hearts, our idols, or secret sins and desires, we cannot hide anything from God. Spend some time in prayer and God’s Word today. Let him do a work in your heart that nothing else can. Let the sting of sin penetrate and call you to a closer relationship with the One who died, and rose from sin, conquering death and sin forever……..for you.

The Second Half

The Second Half

Colossians 3:2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.

I turned 50 today. I demanded no party, no hoopla’ for I knew the struggle that I have been feeling with this mid-life crisis for the last six months. My thirties and forties really brought no change, but fifty has in my own words, has kicked me in the teeth. Satan has used my battles with anxiety and depression to open the doors to elevated torment; he has taken the battles of the mind to battles of the flesh, spiritual warfare played out on physical plains. Only those closest to me understand the level of my greatest struggles, for they see the pain it brings. The highs of the anxieties bring inner stains that get tighter; and many times are followed by the lowest of lows as the solitude of depression looms, directly relevant to the height of the anxiety. Society wants to fix it with pills, and that is what is wrong with society today, they believe in their own power, not the power of God and prayer. I accept my lot in life, and only seek to draw closer to God as a result of this path he has allowed me to walk upon. “His ways are not our ways, and his thoughts higher than our thoughts,” so I choose to let him keep me humble, such as Paul’s thorn in his flesh that God left to torment him, and I choose to seek him daily as a result of my struggles. “When I am weak, He is strong.”

If I were to die today, my only hope would be that all understood my heart for Christ and the importance of living this life in preparation for the next. As I intercede for friends on the mission fields this week, we talk and pray about the Gospel of Jesus Christ that we share. We cannot preach a different gospel in America that we preach in India or Africa. The gospel in it’s simplest form is the answer to life’s biggest problem, where we spend eternity. No matter our lot in this life, no matter how low or how high, we all must answer to God on the Day of Judgement, and that day determines Heaven or Hell, for all, for all of time. Philippians 2:10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. No matter who, no matter what nation or tribe, no matter what status we have in this life, we all will bow to the same God, the One true God, on that day. Those who have worshiped any other gods will be condemned; they will have broken the greatest commandment to place no other gods before Him. Those who have placed all their energies into this life will see them pass away as they have eternity to regret their decisions. Those who have answered the call of Christ upon their souls, recognizing what Jesus did for them, and lived their lives as his disciples, will pass into the gates of eternal paradise with him to live with Jesus beyond their wildest dreams.

Fifty may have brought painful reflection, but it also has focused my sight. Fifty may have brought pains physical and mental, but it has brought renewed strength for the next half. The second half of my life, I choose to take the first half and learn from it’s mistakes. I choose to become bolder, clearer, and more direct in the call to repent and believe, to live as Jesus’ disciples. God has given me a gift, a minuscule glimpse of the power of prayer, his Word, and his sovereignty. Why would I not spend the second half of my life all for his glory? I want to finish strong, and spend eternity with Jesus, and you.

Life’s Answers

Life’s Answers

Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

So much on my mind…..I know not which road to travel in my writing. I am in the midst of God stirring my soul, of questioning much of life, battling spiritual warfare on a physical plain, death has touched my door, and I find myself up most of the night pondering; even talking and praying for friends on the mission field in India. I have been interceding heavily for a few people this week, and as with any intercession, we are dedicating ourselves to the cause, lifting up others to God in their times of need. We anger the enemy, for he likely only fears prayers, for he knows Who possess the powers to answer them. Satan never fears what we stand on our own with, the pride of life we seemingly have built upon even in the ruse of good intent. Satan never fears the powers of our mind that have been gained through countless hours of study and preparation, he only fears the humble soul that bows asking for God’s help.

Where are you at in your life? Are you like me questioning what you have accumulated, accomplished, gained or lost, the results of decisions for your first 50 years? A mid-life crisis if you will, a reflection that has brought upon a roller-coaster of emotions. The flesh in me, the critic within myself, is unhappy by the worlds policies of accomplishments. The list doesn’t matter, because my conformation to this world is not what I live for. As I sat through a funeral yesterday, as funerals always do, the brevity and finality of life set in. The only thing that matters in life is our investment in those God places in our life. The circle of your influence is your ministry. You can encourage them for worldly pursuits, that bring eternal losses, or encourage them to live their lives as Paul writes here in Romans; a life dedicated to God in preparation for the next life with him. Life is truly that simple, and in it’s simplicity we gain the liberty that floods Paul’s New Testament epistles.

How we gain that eternal focus is as simple as the focus we place on it? What did Jesus say the greatest commandment was? Matthew 22:36-40 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?” 37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.” Until you begin to understand that your life will change when you begin to read your Bible daily, your not living with eternity in view. Until you understand that your heart for God is gauged upon one’s pursuit of him, you are living for the world. Until you understand that anything you want to change in life, begins with Christ and the pursuit of him in prayer and his Word, you will remain the same person focused on all your problems and positions in this world. Remember heaven will flip everything upside down; “the last will become first, and the first become last.” (Jesus’ words) Today, whatever you are facing, humble yourself in prayer, and spend some time in God’s Word; life’s answers are there waiting.

All I can do is pray

All I can do is pray

John 14:26-27 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. 27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

The past 36 hours have brought shocking news to my doorstep, news that left me speechless, news that left me numb with pain and questions from what I heard. Two friends lost loved ones to separate incidences of violence this weekend; one a sister, and one a son, gone from this world in an instant. Our first questions are seemingly why; it is a natural sinful state reaction to the pain we immediately feel; we question the sovereignty of the creator and sustainer of our universe. It is OK, God knows the hurt we are feeling, the pain he has allowed, but he sees the outcome and “possibilities” of the eternal picture of what we are going through. The Bible tells us that we can’t understand his ways, and the stories of his sovereignty are woven throughout it’s entirety. Isaiah 55:8 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. 9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.

I told the friend I was able to talk to, I knew not what to say, that I was speechless to the news, but all I could do is to pray. Many times we can say the wrong things if we try too hard to find the right words. Many times we stumble down roads that seem harsh, when all we need to do is to be there with them, to pray for them, and to remind them that only faith can get them through this. God has drawn many people to himself through tragedies; it is one of his ways he gets us to focus on the eternal, when he reminds us of our mortality. (His ways are not our ways.) Think of the trial of Job in the Bible, of how great he suffered, and how his faith persevered and became an example to all of eternity. Pain breaks down barriers, pain brings intimacy with God when we cry out to him, for we may know nothing else to do.

Jesus was telling his disciples he was leaving them, they were afraid of what the future held. Jesus knew this, and gave them great news of who was coming to be with them when he left; they (we also) were getting the Holy Spirit as a gift from God to dwell within them; to abide in our innermost being, a part of the Trinity lives within the believer. Jesus spoke of the power he was giving us was greater than we could imagine, of how we could do great things. Many times we see those going through life and question how they can handle all that comes at them. Many times they testify it is through their faith in God. Jesus told us not to worry, to only seek him first and concentrate on today, not to worry about tomorrow. Matthew 6:34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. When the unimaginable pain filters through God’s hands into your life, know it did pass through his sovereign design, and that he has yours and all of eternity in view; he wants to draw you near, and I pray that you will seek him with all your heart, mind, body and soul when life’s pain comes your way. All I can do is to pray……..

Campfire Wisdom

Campfire Wisdom

Ecclesiastes 7:5-6 It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise Than for a man to hear the song of fools. 6 For like the crackling of thorns under a pot, So is the laughter of the fool. This also is vanity.

We sat by the campfire this weekend, staring at the tug of the flames like we all know we do when relaxing by a fire. We marveled at the ways the smoke rolled from logs, how the flames bent around each other, how the fire magically transformed many times before us. As I read this chapter in Ecclesiastes this morning, God tugged at my heart on these verses. I thought of the fire, the sounds, smells, the lure of it if you will allow. I read deeper and of how these thorns will produce a greater lure; the burning produces a greater light, even adding the excitement of more noise, but yet temporal, and fades quickly. Matthew Henry expounded like this: “And what an absurd thing is it for a man to dote so much upon such a transient pleasure as the laughter of a fool is, which may fitly be compared to the burning of thorns under a pot, which makes a great noise and a great blaze, for a little while, but is gone presently, scatters its ashes, and contributes scarcely any thing to the production of a boiling heat, for that requires a constant fire! The laughter of a fool is noisy and flashy, and is not an instance of true joy.”

The laughter of the fool produces an odd accolade for one’s spirit. The laugh of the joke, the whisper in the ear of gossip, the tug of sins for flash and pride. Countless times we sin for innumerable reasons, but many are temporal pleasures found in the accolades of fools. Vanity, a waste if you will, is how Solomon labels these pursuits. How many times have we done something we immediately wish we could take back? The quick whip that brought the laughter as quickly brought the conviction. The rebuke of the Holy Spirit within us works instantaneously. The measure of your standing with God is your conviction of sin, and your response to them. Do you believe in the cleansing power of repentance? We all sin, do not deceive yourself, even those you place on pedestals battle their own demons. 20 For there is not a just man on earth who does good And does not sin.

How do we hear the rebuke of the wise? We surround ourselves with Godly counsel, those who will not be afraid to point out our sins and hold us accountable. Those who will not tell us what we want to hear, but what we need to hear. What if God does not have those around you right now? God’s Word is the greatest counsel you will ever have, and it is available to all. Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. I promise you that if you seek wisdom and discernment of life, of yourself, prayerfully enter into the presence of God in his Word. The Holy Spirit will lead you into an understanding that is divine, but many times painfully true. You will not remain the same person today, you cannot remain the same, for God will rebuke you, and change you from the inside out. Then you may become wise and help another along the road of sanctification.

First

First

Matthew 6:33-34 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

I am tormented by anxiety and depression. I label it my “thorn in my flesh” that Satan torments me with. They may come separately, or even worse when they are on the heels of one another. They are a very real battle of the mind that effects everything in life, the physical, mental, and spiritual; they are warfare. I could elaborate much more, but last night I encouraged someone to read my favorite scriptures above for their anxiety battle. This morning I had a battle all my own. (The pastor always is struggling with what he is preaching about I promise you.) I awoke to threatening emails, anxiety ridden, and Satan came to steal my early morning joy with the Lord. It was time to seek my own advise. Let’s look at a simple exposition of the scriptures; what do they mean?

These are the last passages in Matthew six, but in the meat of Jesus’ great Sermon on the Mount. That was his greatest sermon, his life’s application to all of his teaching. You can go to most of life’s struggles and find answers directly from Jesus Christ in his message there. In the context of this, the passages before them are speaking about worry, which leads to anxiety, (versus 25-32). Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life… So Jesus is directly addressing worry, which anxiety is elevated worry, and he tells us to simply focus on God in verse 33. Jesus tells us that if we will focus on God first, in other words to seek him above the anxiety, he will take care of the worry. What is worry? It is always about a future event that may or may not take place. God controls the future; he sees it all in the same time, past, present, and future, and he controls it sovereignly. If we seek God with all our mind, heart, body and soul, then we begin to get a glimpse of his sovereignty. The outpouring of our love for him, begins the indwelling of peace. We put Him above our worry.

Verse thirty-four then goes on to take it farther. Jesus says that if you will focus on him, you have no need to worry about tomorrow. 34 “Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes. (MSG) Why do you need to worry about tomorrow, when tomorrow may never come? You are not guaranteed another breath for another day, and heavens doors could be opened to you all while you were worrying about tomorrow. Just concentrate on whatever you are facing today, focus on the strength provided by the One who gives it abundantly to you. Realize that Satan is trying to steal your victorious joy, by getting you to focus on something that may never happen anyway. Just spend some time with God and let him work out the details of your life. Do that first.
